Zach Soares grew up in Los Angeles, California, and moved to MDI in 1996 to attend College of the Atlantic. He started working at COA in 2005 and is currently the Director of Audio/Visual Services, a faculty member offering classes in audio production, and Deputy Title IX Coordinator. He lives in Bar Harbor with his wife and kids (two at home, two in college) and spends much of his time volunteering and renovating their old farmhouse. He also serves as an interior call force firefighter with the Bar Harbor Fire Department.
